Marcus Sutton, Kirti Anchan and Luke James have all stepped into new roles
Dubai’s Jumeirah Group this week has announced a trio of new general manager appointments in a bit to “further strengthen its senior leadership.” Two of the hires are within Dubai, at Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, while the third is in a soon-to-open property in Oman.
In March this year, Zabeel House’s GM Luke James announced his departure from the community-driven hotel, revealing he would be the one taking on Jumeirah’s debut into the Sultanate of Oman. Jumeirah itself has shed some more light on this position, saying James will oversee 206 keys, a Talise spa and numerous dining outlets.
Given his instrumental role in the successful pre-opening of Zabeel House, he will be expected to tap into that experience in Oman, helping Jumeirah build up anticipation for the resort.
Taking the reins from him in The Greens is Marcus Sutton, the lifestyle hotel’s new GM. Like James, he is a stalwart of the group, previously serving as general manager at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. In his new role, he will lead the team of the hotel, drive engagement and interest within local and international markets, and head up commercial strategies.
Thirdly, Kirti Anchan is the new general manager of Jumeirah Emirates Towers. He has been with the group since 2004 and was most recently the hotel manager of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
