Dubai, UAE.  – Known for his ethereal and ahead-of-the-curve fashion design and aesthetics, Dubai household fashion designer Furne Amato, who is also a well-loved fashion designer of top and A-List Hollywood celebrities and pop stars such as Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, etc., is finally unveiling his debut gown at the Miss Universe stage and worn by the crown-favourite Miss Philippines.

Last May 14, Philippines representative Rabiya Mateo gracefully strutted the illuminating yellow studded gown created by Amato at the Miss Universe’s Preliminary Competition.

Speaking about the details of the gown, Amato said: “The one sided neckline tulle gown is elegantly encrusted with Citrine Swarovski crystals on the bodice cascading to the hem and cape over alabaster Swarovski components, glass beads and paillettes. The dramatic and fitted silhouette adds interest and pizzazz on its own. The cape added royalty to the gown and its beadwork was inspired by the radiance of the Philippine sun which symbolizes positivity and optimism. A hope for a new tomorrow, a world with endless beauty and happiness.”

Speaking about Amato’s partnership with Miss Universe Philippines and Rabiya’s chances of getting back the crown to the Philippines, CEO and Managing Director of Yugen PR, Josh Yugen said: “This is just the start of a more fruitful partnership with the Miss Universe organization, we are excited to see more creations of the talented Furne Amato in the Miss Universe stage, and we can’t wait to see Rabiya slay the runway with another creation of Furne. I’m sure she’s gonna make all the Filipinos proud.” Josh Yugen has produced several Miss Universe events in Dubai such as hosting the then Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray for an awareness campaign for Smile

Train Dubai office last September 2019 and a private gala event for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach last December 2020.

“We’re hoping to see Dubai hosting the Miss Universe pageant as well in the near future, so watch out!” he added.

Amato is scheduled to dress Miss Philippines again for its final gown and is expected to be grandeur filled with energy and vibrancy.

Miss Universe will be aired live in Dubai on May 17, 2021 at 4 AM.
