Meliã Desert Palm Dubai appoints new front office manager

Polo resort Meliã Desert Palm Dubai has appointed Fares Karam as Front Office Manager for the 160-acre estate.

Karam has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specialising in both Front Office and Rooms Division. He started his career as a Front Desk Trainee in 2005 at Casino Du Lac, Geneva, Switzerland. Since then, he has worked with prestigious brands across their Front Office and Rooms Divisions teams.

Prior to this appointment, Karam was the Business Relation Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Doha, Qatar. His expertise lies in guest satisfaction, complaint handling and nurturing relationships with guests and clients.

Karam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Management from the Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

Karam is an ardent fan of FC Barcelona and enjoys watching and playing football. He loves to travel and discover new countries and cultures. In his spare time, he experiments with new recipes in the kitchen. He is also an animal lover and adores cats.
