New ‘hidden’ Spanish tapas-style restaurant and bar to open at Sheraton Grand hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road

Dubai: ¿Puedes hablar español? Can you speak Spanish?

Well, if you can then a world of tantalizing tapas, crafty cocktails and delicious drinks awaits at NIDO!

Dubai’s newest Spanish tapas restaurant and bar, located at the Sheraton Grand hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, is opening its doors to the city’s nightlife scene on 19th November.

Designed as a fun and friendly Spanish style ‘speakeasy’ venue hidden away from view, diners will need more than just an appetite to gain entry to the venue, although not much more admittedly.

Just say something in Spanish (everyone knows at least one word!) to the door staff and you’re welcomed in to enjoy some of Spain’s most celebrated dishes as well as modern takes on age-old classics.

NIDO’s menu is packed with traditional favourites including Empanadas to Chorizo Gambas alongside Spanish fusion options, while the selection of drinks available includes a variety of sangrias, piscos and Latin-based cocktails along with Spanish grape and draft hops.

Salvador Carrillo , Chef of NIDO said: “After months of creating a winning concept, with delicious new flavours for diners in Dubai to experience, we’re excited to finally open our doors to welcome guests on a journey from Spain to South America, to experience authentic, contemporary dishes, prepared with attention to every detail.”

The 12-table, 70-seater venue offers a casual dining experience based around the traditional and much celebrated Spanish snack of tapas.

You can find Nido on the 5th floor of the hotel, with guests able to access the venue through the main door, while more adventurous (and Spanish speaking) revelers can enter discreetly through the wine cellar at next-door venue Moe’s on 5th.

The casual dress code, relaxed atmosphere and great selection of food and drinks means that this ‘hidden’ Spanish venue won’t stay hidden for long!
