Dettol named Official Hygiene Partner for Expo 2020 Dubai as preparations continue to welcome world in safe, responsible manner

DUBAI – With a shared vision to work together towards a healthier and more sustainable future, Expo 2020 Dubai and Dettol have joined forces to ensure world-class hygiene across the mega-event, with the powerbrand announced as Expo 2020’s Official Hygiene Partner.

Under the partnership, Dettol will provide top-of-the-line hygiene products across Expo 2020 Dubai, supporting Expo’s number one priority of ensuring visitor and staff safety during these challenging times. Dettol’s no-touch hand-sanitiser stations will be positioned at all entrance and departure gates, pavilions and restaurants.

To spread further awareness of health and safety best practices, Dettol experts will participate in sessions during the six-month Expo to educate visitors on the importance of hygiene and showcase its initiatives as a pioneer in health and hygiene through innovation.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony with attendees including Mohammed Alhashmi, Chief Technology Officer, Expo 2020 DubaiJamie Paterson, Vice President, Corporate Finance, Expo 2020 DubaiTahir Malik, Senior Vice President, ReckittAfrica & Middle East; and Tauseef Faisal, Regional GM, Reckitt Middle East.

In addition to sanitisation stations, Expo 2020 Dubai has introduced a number of precautionary measures across the site to combat COVID-19, including mandatory face-mask wearing, social-distancing regulations and frequent deep cleaning, especially of surfaces. All Expo 2020 staff have been vaccinated, and vaccines have been mandated to all staff of International Participants.

Expo 2020 will run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, inviting visitors from across the planet to join the making of a new world during a six-month celebration of human ingenuity, innovation, progress and culture.
