Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli welcomes two new additions. Helen Malmgren joins the distinguished five-star resort in the role of Director of Sales and Marketing; whilst Chef Eduardo Torres initiates the prominent Guest Chef series.

Malmgren most recently led the Sales and Marketing department at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi from 2018 to 2020 as Commercial Director. Prior to the Maldives, she served as Director of Luxury Sales for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, EMEA for the global portfolio of Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels and resorts in assigned geographic markets – responsible for new hotel openeins as well as commercial and business development functions throughout her extensive career.

Guest Chef series: featuring Chef Edurado Torres
The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort’s Guest Chef series will feature a lineup of outstanding culinary talent from around the world. Guest Chef Edurado Torres will be the first in a long line of chefs who will delight guests with his culinary sensations. Torres preceeds the esteemed Executive and Co-owner of Mumbai’s famous Masque restaurant, Chef Prateek Sadhu, with more chefs to be announced for 2022.
Chef Torres, owner of the Molino Roca, is one of the most respected rice connoisseurs in Spain. Masters of rice from Valencia since 1903, the Torres family have been perfecting a unique product for generations with differential quality thanks to its selection processes of the best grains.

Torres’ presence will elevate the five-star property’s already distinguished culinary scene.
