A team above all … Above all a team
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – In an exciting show of team spirit and love for the most popular sport ever, Aljomaih and Shell Lubricating Oil Company (JOSLOC) organized a highly anticipated Football Championship for its staff, which was attended by more than one hundred employees on Friday and Saturday (10 & 11 September 2021). The football championship, which is the first of its kind to be organized by the company for its staff, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic, was carried out according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health while conforming to social distancing protocols and adhering to safety rules.
In that occasion, Mr. Saher Hashem, CEO of JOSLOC, said, “People need to work hard not just to earn a living, but also to entertain themselves and stay in shape. Team sport is definitely one of those activities that promote a positive health and cheerful cooperative attitude, which would in turn inspire a healthy atmosphere at work amongst colleagues and when dealing with clients.
He added, “The work environment at Shell shares a lot of similarities with football, in terms of coordination of roles, planning, competition and performance, which leads to success. That’s why together we can do so much, but alone we can do so little.”
