Azerbaijan Airlines Resumes Daily Flights between Baku and Dubai

In addition to daily flights along the Dubai-Baku-Dubai route operated by FlyDubai, Azerbaijan Airlines has also resumed everyday flights between these cities as of December.

Azerbaijan is currently seeing an increase in the number of travellers from Middle East countries. With daily flights between Baku and Dubai along with other routes, the number of arrivals from the region is expected to grow further.

“Since the opening of international borders, UAE has been among the top 5 countries we receive travellers from. We are pleased to see daily flights between Dubai and Baku resume by Azerbaijan Airlines and looking forward to receiving more travellers from the region”, said Florian Sengstschmid, Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.

In addition to daily Baku-Dubai-Baku flights, there are currently regular flights to Abu Dhabi by WizzAir, Sharjah by Air Arabia, Doha by Qatar Airways and Jeddah by Azerbaijan Airlines. Starting from December 15, direct flights on the Baku-Kuwait-Baku route are also scheduled to be performed twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Together with UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, citizens and permanent residents of 65 countries can travel to Azerbaijan by air. To enter the country, they need to submit an official document issued by the relevant country (COVID passport) on complete vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 and a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before the flight. For passengers aged from 1 to 18 years, it is sufficient to submit a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before the flight.
