Dubai, UAE – Travellers looking to incorporate their wellness resolutions into new year travel plans can explore Germany’s vast range of authentic and traditional spa offerings.

Spearheaded by the German.Spa.Tradition campaign, Germany’s vibrant wellness offerings make it the ideal destination for anyone looking to start 2022 as they mean to go on, or plan a relaxation-themed summer vacation ahead of time.

Focused on naturopathy and holistic healing alternatives, Germany is home to an astounding collection of thermal springs and natural baths in all corners of the country.

“Following an incredibly busy 2021 for the GCC region, we understand the importance of wellness and wellbeing in regional visitors’ travel preferences. Germany’s plethora of spa and health offerings ensure visitors can start January feeling refresh and revived for whatever 2022 brings,” said Yamina Sofo, Director Sales & Marketing, GNTO.

Popular treatments in Baden-Baden, specifically within the lush Black Forest, include the soap brush massage at the historic Friedrichsbad, or a sauna visit at the Caracalla Baths. Hesse, one of the country’s federal states, is also home to an impressive variety of 26 thermal springs.

Traditional Kneipp Treatments are also in abundance in Bad Wörishofen, Bad Lauterberg, Bad Salzuflen and Bad Waldsee, with wading, water jets and contrast baths utilised to boost bathers’ circulation and immunity.

Mud and peat baths are also ideal for the winter season, with the natural peat heated to 40 degrees Celsius before being applied. The anti-inflammatory and circulation-boosting treatment can be enjoyed in Bad Bramstedt, Bad Sobernheim and Sellin, a Baltic sea resort on the German island of Rügen.

The German Federal Government recently announced the easing of COVID-19 travel restrictions for all travellers aged 12 years and above, regardless of individual vaccination status. The announcement ensures visitors from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates can enter the country with a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before travel.

The EU issues and updates its travel recommendations to member states regularly. The safe list is reviewed and revised every two weeks by the EU authorities and members states.
