“Choose Wellness, Choose Nestlé” initiative marks its
7th consecutive year across 10 countries in the MENA region
Riyadh, -: More than 80 nutritionists will be at supermarkets in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar from 23rd until the end of January, to encourage shoppers to eat healthier, move more, and live better – with a key focus on teaching them how to read food labels and guiding them on roaming for healthier options throughout the aisles. Participating venues include Panda, Othaim, Danube, Bin Dawood, Lulu, and Carrefour outlets among others.
The 2020 edition of the Choose Wellness, Choose Nestlé initiative, running in the region for the seventh consecutive year, is expected to reach around 500,000 shoppers in more than 4,000 outlets across the Middle East and North Africa this month.
“This year’s theme aims to tackle the reality that people all around the world are generally not familiar with reading food labels, and could benefit from enhancing their awareness of how to shop for healthier food options,” said Sarah Kanaan, Nestlé Head of Nutrition, Health and Wellness Middle East & North Africa.
“This is why we’re ensuring nutrition experts are available at leading supermarkets to help educate shoppers on how to better understand serving sizes, calories, and various nutrition information, in addition to guiding them on building healthy grocery lists and making informed choices for a healthy lifestyle.”
The initiative is in line with Nestlé’s purpose of Enhancing Quality of Life and Contributing to a Healthier Future, with this year’s theme particularly helping fulfill one of the company’s commitments to society: to deliver nutrition information, advice and portion guidance.
Nestlé products will also be available at reduced prices throughout the duration of the activity.
