On February 29, Embassy of Japan in Riyadh organized a Japanese food lecture and demonstration at Ambassador’s residence for further understanding of Japanese cuisine. 38 people who were interested in Japanese food culture participated this event.
During the program, Mr. Katafuchi, Ambassador’s chef, demonstrated how to cook authentic Japanese dishes that are popular among the Japanese people: “White Spinach (Spinach with Crushed Tofu)”, “Fried Tofu” and “Vegetable Tempura”. The participants learned basic information of Japanese food and ingredients, as well as skills to prepare such dishes and they also experienced tasting above mentioned dishes cooked by Chef Katafuchi.
