- Attack All Around emerge as world champions after putting up a tough fight against 11 other teams in the Finals.
- WASK and All-Stars teams say the prestigious global competition was a great learning experience despite falling short in Singapore.
Dubai-: Attack All Around from Thailand was crowned as world champions at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2022 Sentosa Finals, taking home the World Series title and USD $500,000 in prize money.
This victory marks the second consecutive World Series victory for Thailand after Team EVOS Phoenix, previously known as Phoenix Force, emerged victorious at the FFWS 2021 Singapore last year.
Representing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at the FFWS 2022, teams All-Stars Esports and WASK also described the global event as an incredible learning experience and have outlined their ambitions to qualify for next year’s competition despite not being able to claim the trophy nor a podium finish.
WASK, the champions of Season Four and Five’s Free Fire Arab League (FFAL), qualified directly to the Grand Finals and despite their best efforts, were unable to finish on the podium while All-Stars fell short in their bid of advancing to the Grand Finals in the Play-Offs stage.
Tarik Belghazi, Founder of WASK, said: “Enhancing our techniques and strategies is already on our agenda after our performance in the FFWS. As champions of MENA, a better performance was within our expectations but not met, and the learnings were plenty.
“Our exposure to such an immersive competitive environment is something that will never be forgotten and will be our motivation to come back as a stronger team. Winning is in our DNA, and we are already aiming to retain our MENA title and for another Grand Final qualification in the next FFWS.”
Saadallah Djamel Eddine, Captain of All-Stars, said: “Falling short of a spot in the Grand Finals was heartbreaking. But it is now in the past and we are already looking into the future. Mistakes will not be repeated, and improvements will be made; strategically, technically, and from a team dynamic perspective as well. I am confident that in our next FFWS qualification, we will do the MENA region proud”.
