Health Endowment Fund receives SR2 million from Almarai

RIYADH — Almarai Company contributed SR2 million towards the Health Endowment Fund aiming to develop the intensive care department recently opened at King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj.

“This initiative stresses Almarai’s belief in its national duty through the company’s CSR program to support the efforts made by the health sector in Al-Kharj Governorate, furthermore to contribute in supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve the health of citizens and residents in light of Corona pandemic,” Abdullah Nasser Al-Otaibi, head of corporate communications and public relations at Almarai said.

“The contribution made by Almarai expresses its eagerness to support the hospital’s efforts as well as the Al-Kharj health sector’s readiness, especially when it comes to the current pandemic conditions,” Fahd Almamkhor, director of King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj said.

“Developing the hospital health care services comes with the support of Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz, governor of Riyadh, and Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, minister of health,” he added.

Almamkhor also appreciated the efforts of Social Responsibility Committee in Al-Kharj with careful follow-up by Musaed Al-Mady, governor of Al-Kharj, and Dr. Hasan Al-Shahrani, general director of Health Affairs in Riyadh to enhance the private sector contribution in social development along with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Almarai Company annually supports more than 300 governmental and private entities working in various community development activities throughout the Kingdom’s regions.
