The iCombi Pro convinced the jury with its operating concept.
The iCombi Pro has only been on the market since May and has already convinced not only chefs but also the jury in one of the most prestigious design competitions: The combi-steamer made it into the nomination round of the UX Design Awards 2020 among numerous entries. The simple and intuitive operating concept fulfilled criteria such as significant improvement of a situation, creation of added value for relevant target groups and improvement of human skills. To this end, the iCombi Pro combines already familiar design elements with new ones: For example, the typical Rational setting wheel is integrated into the large glass surface, which also includes the new display with touch function. Familiar icons have been given an illustrative design and new elements have been added. And the familiar Rational font on the display is now larger and therefore more visible. Overall, the iCombi Pro impresses with its straightforward, modern design. Rational has proven that even the highest demands in the canteen kitchen are met.
The global competition for user and customer experience is organised by the International Design Centre Berlin (IDZ) and is staffed by a top-class jury. The final winners will be announced in August 2020, and the winners will receive their prizes in September.
