Dubai, UAE (31 March 2023): Rixos Premium Dubai participated in Earth Hour 2023, a global movement to raise awareness about the importance of conserving energy and reducing carbon emissions. The hotel had taken several initiatives to mark this occasion and invited guests and staff to join in the efforts.

Rixos Premium Dubai had shut down its façade lights at 8:30pm for one hour, which resulted in a minimum saving of 1000 KW. This helped to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint and conserve energy. Guests and visitors were invited to join as the hotel’s exterior transformed into darkness, the stars above were shining brighter. In addition, Rixos Premium Dubai hosted a yoga session with artificial candle lights for one hour, which in-house guests were invited to. This initiative promoted mindfulness and relaxation, while also conserving energy. Participants had the opportunity to practise yoga under the serene glow of candlelight, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

To further support this cause, Rixos Premium Dubai also shut down electricity in the staff accommodation for one hour, with an aim to encourage staff members to participate in the global movement and experience the impact of conserving energy first-hand.

“We are delighted to have been able to participate in Earth Hour 2023 and take proactive measures towards conserving energy,” said Turgay Erdogan of Rixos Premium Dubai. “Our initiatives are aimed at raising awareness about the importance of sustainable practices, and we hope that our efforts will inspired others to join in making a positive impact on the planet.”

Rixos Premium Dubai encouraged everyone to take part in this global movement and urged individuals and organisations to take steps towards reducing their carbon footprint.
