Recognising her commitment to using the finest quality ingredients and innovative flavour combinations, the passionate chef has been selected as an ambassador for Australian Beef

Chef Vanessa Bayma continues to cement her place as one of the UAE’s most influential chefs with the announcement of a new culinary ambassador role. The Dubai-based private chef has been recognised for her ‘passion, loyalty and commitment’ to quality ingredients, having been named as an official ‘Aussie Beef Mate’ by the government bodies Meat & Livestock Australia and True Aussie Beef. A team of hand-picked global ambassadors, Aussie Beef Mates are regarded as “influential food professionals”, tasked with shining the spotlight on Australian beef.

As part of her ambassadorial role in showcasing the delights of Australian beef in the UAE, Chef Bayma has been invited on an exclusive eight-day culinary tour of Australia. Chef Bayma is part of a contingent of 25 respected chefs and food professionals hailing from 15 international locations, including representatives from the Middle East, Japan, Korea, China, South-East Asia, United Kingdom and North America.

“I am honoured to have been asked to join Aussie Beef Mates’ coveted community of passionate chefs and food professionals from around the world,” says Chef Bayma. “Australian beef is renowned for its premium quality and incredible flavour, and I am delighted to help bring this exceptional product to more tables in the UAE.”

During her time down under, Chef Bayma will immerse herself in the sights, sounds and tastes of Australia, as she explores the agricultural heartland of Queensland in the nations north-east. The incredible journey will take her from coast to country, as she explores the fertile farmlands surrounding Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands, the iconic outback landscapes of Charters Towers, sprawling cattle stations near the Sunshine Coast, and dynamic city sights in the Gold Coast.

From an Outback Cooking Challenge and a Hands-On Indigenous Food Tour to a Wagyu Farm Visit and Glamping Under the Stars, the itinerary promises an unforgettable experience for the culinary cohort. Additionally, a culinary masterclass led by Chef Vanessa Bayma takes center stage at TAFE Queensland, promising an enriching experience to a diverse audience of 65 participants, comprising international culinary students, young adults, and seasoned culinary lecturers.

Throughout their journey, Chef Bayma and her Aussie Beef companions will dine at some of Queensland’s top-rated restaurants, savouring contemporary Australian cuisine and the finest local ingredients.

Chef Bayma and her fellow Aussie Beef Mates will also sharpen their culinary skills in the Aussie Meat Academy, as they take part in a series of masterclasses designed to inspire, educate and innovate.

“I’m looking forward to bringing back everything I’ve learnt in Australia to the UAE, sharing this world-class beef with my private dining clients, and creating new recipes that combine my love of innovative flavour combinations with the finest Australian cuts,” says Chef Bayma.
