Breaking Bread News: Bread Ahead Bakery Announces its Arrival in Riyadh

From London to Riyadh, the expansion of Bread Ahead’s artisan baking is on the rise.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia -Making its Riyadh debut, Bread Ahead has landed a brand new store in Saudi Arabia, expanding the London-born bakery’s collection of venues internationally. Home to divine baked goods, heavenly doughnuts and legendary sourdough pizza, the iconic bakery has now made its mark in the heart of Hittin, Riyadh and will be serving up a selection of exciting new items and classic bakery favourites for guests to dive into from November.

Bread Ahead champions the use of seasonal premium ingredients and is celebrated for its dedication to the craft of artisan baking. Meeting at a culinary crossroads, Riyadh’s new bakery fuses traditional recipes with local ingredients to create a menu that shines for itself.  From humble beginnings in London’s Borough Market, Bread Ahead has evolved to an internationally renowned brand with now eight stores and four bakery schools. This significant milestone adds to its locations in the UK, UAE and KSA, with existing bakeries in Bromley, Pavilion Road, South Kensington, Borough Market and Wembley, the latter two also home to bakery schools; Mall of Emirates, Dubai; and King Abdulaziz Road, Jeddah, also featuring a bakery school.

Customers can expect to see exciting new additions to the menu including Bread Ahead’s Pistachio Pain au Chocolat (SAR 24), a twist on the classic buttery pastry with a satisfying crunch. Overflowing with Creme Patissiere, the Riyadh bakery is introducing its famous Blackcurrant Cheesecake Doughnut (SAR 15) for customers to fulfil their doughnut desires. Expanding its All Day Breakfast offering, Bread Ahead’s Ultimate Egg Sandwich (SAR 35) features smoked turkey slices, creamy scrambled eggs, melted cheese and fresh chives served in a brioche bun with a drizzle of chilli mayo. Popular bakery favourites including Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich (SAR 54), Sticky Date Pudding (SAR 24) and Smokey Turkey & Cheese Croissant (SAR 49) will also be up for grabs.

Founder Matthew Jones of Bread Ahead, has sought to refine his craft from a young age, with each product a testament to his passion for the artistry of baking. In 2013, Matthew embraced the chance to secure a spot at Borough Market and has since developed an artisan school, bringing like-minded people together who share a love for baking.
