The Barcelona hotel has been awarded in three of the four categories for which it was nominated.
Dubai- – Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona has triumphed in the latest edition of the Beyond Luxury Awards, being recognized as the hotel with the Best Breakfast (Best Delicious Hotel Breakfast 2022), the Best Terrace (Best Hotel Terrace 2022) and the Best Hotelier of the Year 2022 by Pascal Billard, general manager of the Majestic.
The second edition of the Beyond Luxury Awards took place in Marbella at a ceremony held at the Finca Cortesin Hotel, which brought together the luxury hotel excellence of Spain and Portugal. Billard has ensured since joining the Majestic family in 2013 to make the hotel the benchmark of luxury hospitality locally, nationally and internationally. A graduate of the “Jean Drouant” hotel school in Paris, he began his professional career more than 30 years ago at the “Hotel Sofitel Miami” as an assistant waiter, rising to various management positions in the Food & Beverage division. His professional path has taken him to management positions in France, London, New York, Miami and Mexico, in iconic establishments such as the Château de Bagnols, the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, the Crillon and Plaza Athénée hotels in Paris, the Sanderson Hotel in London, the Delano Hotel in Miami or the Royalton Hotel in New York. His international experience and development have provided him with a unique vision of the hotel industry, together with a global multicultural management capacity.
A hotel recognized by the luxury industry
This is not the first time that the Barcelona hotel has been awarded in these categories. Its Majestic Breakfast Experience was recognized at the 2018 Prix Villégiature awards as the best breakfast in Europe for its selection of top-quality products and proximity, always hand in hand with Mediterranean flavors; and its terrace, La Dolce Vitae, was recognized at the 2019 Prix Villégiature awards as the Best Urban Terrace of a Hotel in Europe. Located on the hotel’s rooftop, it features the Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s Casa Batlló or Jean Nouvel’s Agbar Tower as banners of a unique panoramic view of Barcelona, combined with a fresh and avant-garde menu, always faithful to local and zero-kilometer produce.
