Abu Dhabi, UAE-: Put on your best pair of walking shoes and grab the jam-packed schedule for a full day of fun and excitement at this year’s MOTN Festival, running until 18 December at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the region’s ultimate annual entertainment event has returned to the capital with more family entertainment, live performances, immersive art experiences, global cuisine, and retail pop-ups than ever before.
The festival opened with a bang as the Khaleeji music sensation from Kuwait, Miami Band, returned by popular demand this year for an electrifying sold-out performance on the MOTN Live Arena stage. The four-member group, which rose to fame in the 1990s with songs like “Juwaira” and “Ma’ak Radhi”, will take the stage again for the festival’s closing concert on 18 December.
Festival goers can expect awe-inspiring installations, endless immersive activities, pulsating live music and a variety of mouth-watering treats and F&B concepts spread across six distinct zones – Inspire Space, Thrill Zone, Amusement Park, Food Hub, Live Arena and Shopping District – designed to delight visitors of all ages.
Be amazed by the novel attractions and discover something new at the regional and international retailers and partners every day throughout the festival. Get together with family and friends for games and activities that test your bond and competitive spirit and go on a tasting journey of cuisines and street food from around the world all in one place.
The festival will also have diverse activities for young children and teenagers, such as carnival rides, creative workshops, and interactive and collaborative physical and augmented reality games.
Music lovers can book their spot for some of the biggest regional artists who will be taking the Live Arena stage during the festival. Iraqi singer Aseel Hameem will be wooing the audience on 10 December. Emirati singer Aryam’s recognisable tunes and Moroccon singer Loubna’s melodious voice will warm up the audience before the regional star takes the stage, while the versatile Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaki will bring his high energy to MOTN on 17 December.
Football fans are also invited to catch all the FIFA World Cup 2022 football action by grabbing some delicious treats and a comfortable seat for the screening of the thrilling games throughout the duration of the tournament.
Tickets are now on sale through MOTN’s official ticketing partner at www.ticketmaster.ae. General Admission tickets offer access to all free zones and attractions (AED 30 online and AED 35 at the door). Visitors can also opt for an add-on bundle that grants them full access to the festival with more than 26 additional rides and activities in the Amusement Park and Thrill Zone, including CoComelon (AED 140), except for MOTN Funhouse x ANIMA which can be purchased as a separate bundle (AED 85). Skill Games tickets can be purchased separately at the festival.
The safety of all staff and visitors at MOTN is a priority, with the festival being organised under the Go Safe Certification, a unique programme launched by DCT Abu Dhabi to enforce global standards of safety and cleanliness at hotels, attractions, and venues across the emirate. The event will be open from 4pm to midnight during weekdays and from 4pm to 2am on weekends.
