CzechTourism and Wego Bring you the Best of the Winter in the Czech Republic

Dubai, UAE-: Wego, the largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and CzechTourism provide travelers with the best travel experiences this winter.

The Czech Republic is a beautiful and diverse country with many things to see and do. Whether you’re interested in history, culture, or just having a good time, there is something for everyone in the Czech Republic.

CzechTourism will benefit from Wego’s large user base in the MENA region, and the data and insights it provides on the users’ behavior as well as the personalized travel experience it offers. Both parties will work on a series of campaigns and marketing activities to promote this marvelous winter destination.

Mamoun Hmedan, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director, Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and India of Wego, said: “We are excited to start our partnership with CzechTourism to promote travel to the country. We are committed to provide our users with more choices and bring the best destinations to explore. This time of the year in the Czech Republic can be magical, with the country’s stunning landscape transformed by snow and ice. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a range of winter activities and we expect to see an increased demand from the region to the country in the coming weeks.”

The country is a great destination for winter holidays. Travelers can hit the slopes, explore an array of winter activities in store for every type of traveler, or relax at a spa.

Marek Kroutil, international marketing manager for Middle East, CzechTourism said: “Czech Republic and especially Prague is a well-known destination amongst the GCC travelers and thanks to many regular or seasonal flights they can get from the main source markets to our country. But Prague is only a top of an iceberg while exploring the country. The winter offer of the Czech Republic starts in its snowy mountains coming to all the main regional cities and its traditional winter markets. But don´t be scared of the snow because once you are feeling cold, there is always some warm drink or hot tub to jump in to feel cozy.”

Czech cities have a lot to offer in winter. In Prague, travelers can enjoy ice skating on the outdoor rink at any square around the Old Town or skiing and snowboarding in the nearby mountains.

They can hit the slopes in Liberec, at one of the nearby ski resorts or visit the unique glass and steel Ještěd Tower, which offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape or try cross-country skiing in Šumava, Vysočina, Jeseníky mountains, Beskydy mountains or South Moravia.  A unique experience will definitely provide the world´s longest suspension bridge in Dolní Morava or any of luxurious chateau type accommodation in Central Bohemia.

In Usti nad Labem, visiting the Střekov Castle is a must, offering panoramic views of the Elbe river. Travelers can then relax in Karlovy Vary, in the thermal baths and spas or take a scenic walk through the city’s charming streets.

There is so much skiing to be done in Czechia. It has several excellent ski resorts, including Špindlerův Mlýn, Harrachov, and Pec pod Sněžkou. These resorts offer a variety of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, as well as equipment rentals and ski schools.

The Czech Republic is also known for its hearty, comforting winter dishes, such as kulajda soup, goulash, sweet dumplings, and potato pancakes.
