Dubai, UAE | ME Dubai, the architectural haven nestled in the heart of Business Bay, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Chef Biljana Nava Villareal as the hotel’s new esteemed Executive Chef, as she is set to ignite the hotel’s dining experiences with her exceptional expertise and leadership.
Hailing from Serbia, Biljana has brought to ME Dubai a wealth of culture and experience that she vibrantly infuses into every aspect of her role. During her tenure at the hotel, she has taken on a variety of responsibilities, ranging from the artful creations of menus and the development of recipes to food costing and staff training. If that was not impressive enough, she also manages and oversees the F&B department.
Collaborating closely with the Hygiene Manager, Biljana maintains HACCP standards, ensuring a high level of hygiene and safety. Her commitment to culinary excellence is further evident through her meticulous handling of the Culinary Audit process.
Prior to her role at ME Dubai, she distinguished herself as a Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Creek Heights, contributing her talents to one of Dubai’s renowned establishments, as well as Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Hyatt Regency Dubai, and Hyatt Regency in her home country, Belgrade. With many years spent honing and refining her culinary skills, her passion and dedication are evident.
Highlighting her outstanding achievements, Biljana’s accolades include a Silver Medal at the International Young Chef Competition organised by WACS in Johannesburg, South Africa, in September 2013. She continued to shine on the global culinary stage, securing another Silver Medal at the International Young Chef Competition in Seoul, Korea, in November 2013. Her undeniable talent and expertise were further validated when she was awarded three Silver Medals at the International Young Chef Competition held in Singapore in April 2014.
In her new role as Executive Chef, Chef Biljana will continue to further hone her skills through passion and expertise. As an artist in her profession, she is set to elevate the culinary journey for guests and diners alike at ME Dubai.
