The festival promises never-before-seen activations, awe-inspiring installations, immersive attractions, unique culinary experiences from around the world and captivating performances by the biggest names in the industry. Conceptualised and produced by Brag, the largest edition of the festival yet is on until 31 December and underscores the emirate’s position as a must-visit destination for those seeking inspiration and excitement during the winter months.

From heart-pounding activities to irresistible treats, here’s how you can plan your festival visit with family and friends this season:

Thrills and Giggles All Afternoon

 Arrive at 4pm with your best walking shoes for some non-stop action.

Get a boost of adrenaline at every turn in the Thrill Zone. There’s extreme rides for visitors who dare to try a white-knuckle experience.

For those wanting to have their feet firmly on the ground but still travel space, step into Omega Protocol, a VR sci-fi game where you can combat alien forces. The game, which was developed in Canada, has not yet been released and is being played for the first time at MOTN.

MOTN SKATE by RollDXB will excite anyone who craves the pulse of vibrant energy. Show your skateboarding moves and stunts in this park, which is designed for the community and is open to all skill levels.

Don’t leave this zone without having a go with friends at the Arcade, the perfect playground for retro-gamers and modern arcade lovers. Game lovers will find everything from nostalgic arcade games to full bowling alleys for friendly group matches.

And for those of you who want to expend energy and start your afternoon on a high, walk over to The Monster Inflatable, the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course. Arriving to MOTN for the first time, it consists of 42 obstacles spanning 300 meters. It’s the ultimate bounce party for the whole family!

It’s Always Nibble O’clock Somewhere

Don’t hold back those cravings. Be it 4pm, 6pm, 8pm or 10pm, you can indulge in a quick snack or leisurely feast anytime and anywhere at MOTN Abu Dhabi.

Peppered across the Thrill Zone are handpicked food vendors from around the world. Arriving all the way from the UK to MOTN for the first time, there’s Mother Flipper’s juicy burgers and Bad Boys Pizza Society’s authentic pizza. And if you’re craving something sweet, head over to CrossTown, the award-winning UK bakery known for handmade luxury sourdough doughnuts.

And as the name suggest, Indulge Zone is where all the tasty treats for your taste buds are. Here you’ll find street food, innovative culinary concepts and homegrown delicacies that capture the essence of the region. In this zone, there’s also Coqfighters, arriving to MOTN for the first time all the way from London to serve up an East-meets-West take on fried chicken. For dessert, check out a range of unique flavours by Milk Train, home of the first candy floss ice cream cone in the UK.

Be sure to head to the Coqfighters rooftop for the perfect view of the festival, the beach and the Family Stage where non-stop entertainment by local talents is in store for the whole family.

If you just want to put your feet up and enjoy some popcorn and snacks time with the children, take a seat for the Movies in the Park at 10:00 pm. There are several fan-favourite films to choose from, including Lion King, Skyfall, Finding Nemo, Guardians of the Galaxy and Little Mermaid playing every day during the festival.

It’s a Kid in Your Kingdom Time

 Belly full and reenergised, you’re now ready for the Amuse Zone. Carve out a few hours during the day to leave inhibitions at the door and be free.

Coming to MOTN for the first time all the way from the Netherlands, there’s the Upside Down Experience, with an amazing ball pit, upside-down built rooms and optical illusions, which also will give visitors many Instagrammable moments.

Also for the first time, children will be able to dive into the colourful worlds of Barbie and Sonic by Sega in Spacetoon Land, a place where imagination comes alive as two brands come together to create an amazing experience for both girls and boys to enjoy.

This zone also boasts a basketball court where visitors can have friendly matches of the beloved sport.

For a more “grown-up” therapy, Bo-Tik in the Indulge Zone will be more up your street.  Home to more than 40 local and regional brands, the space showcases the creativity, craftmanship and talents of emerging designers. From elegant couture to trendy accessories, the curated selection creates an immersive shopping experience for visitors that reflects the festival’s spirit and style.

Entertainment to Rock the Night Away

 Witness the festival’s magical transition into the evening with sunset live concerts in the Entertain Arena. And don’t forget, MOTN is the place to be for memorable moments under the glittering night sky on New Year’s Eve.

Rasha Rizk will bring her ethereal music to the festival stage on 23 December. The artist, whose melodious voice is well recognised from Arabic theme songs for popular Spacetoon cartoons, is set to take audiences on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

For foot-tapping performances on 30 December, catch the dynamic Cairokee on stage for a passionate performance that will resonate with every music lover. A portmanteau of “Cairo” and “Karaoke”, the band embodies the spirit of sing-alongs with the energy of a vibrant city like Cairo. That same day, the prolific El Far3i will entertain folk and hip-hop enthusiasts. El Far3i Flux is the latest chapter, showcasing a fusion of styles and intricate ideas that push sonic boundaries and introduce nuanced narratives.

And as the clock counts down to 2024, gather at MOTN Abu Dhabi for a memorable evening to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. Witness dazzling fireworks that will paint the city sky with bursts of colour with family and friends beside you on 31 December. To add a musical touch to the festivities, one of the Middle East and Africa region’s most popular artists, Tamer Hosny will take the stage to transform the night on 31 December.  Iraqi singer and composer Saif Nabeel, known for his emotive musical style, will share the stage on NYE.

The festival is open daily from 4pm to midnight from 8 December to 30 December and from 4pm to 1am on 31 December.
