Exterity brings latest hospitality technology solutions to HITEC Dubai

Edinburgh / Dubai : Exterity, a leading provider of IP video, guest experience and digital signage technologies, will once again return to  HITEC Dubai 2019 on Stand #A32 (12-13 November 2019, The Festival Arena by Intercontinental at Dubai Festival City ), and showcase their latest developments in integrated hospitality technology, IPTV and digital signage solutions.

At HITEC, attendees will see the latest enhancements to ArtioGuest, Exterity’s hospitality-focused interactive guest experience portal. Fully integrated with Exterity’s IPTV system and leading Property Management Systems (PMS), latest ArtioGuest features include: the ability to personalise viewing interfaces and features to acknowledge and reward guest loyalty levels; TV-based ordering and excursion booking; reporting and analysis of channel viewing statistics and more.

Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity, commented: “Since we released ArtioGuest, we have been continuously listening to customer feedback and developing our feature specification in line with their exacting requirements. We hope that visitors to HITEC will come and see how the technology has evolved since its first release to provide a fully rounded, premium in-room guest infotainment solution.”

Additional product highlights on show at HITEC Dubai include:

  • New ArtioInsight Reporting App: ArtioInsight® is a new software app that enables hotel management to make informed decisions quickly and easily. ArtioInsight gathers Chromecast, TV channel and Video on Demand (VoD) viewing statistics, showing at a glance which content is popular with guests and supporting or justifying future content purchase decisions. Hotels can also report proof of play statistics for ArtioSign®, Exterity’s digital signage solution, indicating the length of time certain images or videos were displayed over a selected period. This brings a number of use case benefits, for example, providing analysis and reports on marketing and third-party promotional campaigns played around the hotel and resort.
  • ArtioSign Interactive Elements: ArtioSign continues to add new functionality and now offers interactive features, enabling users to update signage screens instantly and with ease using their remote control, to change layouts to hide/show content on the fly as and when they need it rather than scheduling in advance. ArtioSign users can also now manually select a VoD asset or channel and ensure that the right message, such as training material, event or live news, reaches the right audience at the right time.
  • Pro:Idiom support: ArtioGuest now supports Pro:Idiom encrypted TV channels on hospitality TVs, enabling organisations to meet content protection requirements and deliver premium channels across IP networks through the middleware. A new g4417 gateway will also be released during Q4 that provides Pro:Idiom compatible encryption, ensuring complete content protection from source to display.

At HITEC, Exterity will also showcase its digital signage solution, ArtioSign, which is similarly used in hospitality to ensure guests are informed and entertained wherever they are in a hotel or resort. ArtioGuest and ArtioSign share a similar, intuitive user interface, which makes it easy for users to pick up and move seamlessly between the applications.

Commenting on the success of Exterity’s technology solutions in the fast-moving Middle East hospitality market, Walid Tabet, Regional Sales Team Leader for Exterity said:  “We’ve received great feedback and interest from the hospitality industry stakeholders since the introduction of our ArtioGuest and ArtioSign platforms, and our development team is fully committed to fulfilling the diverse regional market needs and requirements. Although the Middle East is known for its luxurious hotels and resorts, there has been a shift and focus towards supplying mid-scale properties across the region. The ease of use of our bespoke platform facilitates operators and clients to cater for all ranges of properties.”
