Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, celebrated the 49th National Day in style, as it lit up the night sky with a spectacular fireworks display.
Celebrations across Yas Island are set to continue throughout the remainder of the National Day weekend. Yas Mall, which is covered in the flags and colors of the UAE, has discount deals of up to 90% during the weekend. Yas Mall will also be displaying their attempt at breaking the Guinness World Records™ for the ‘Largest Sand Art Structure’, after artists have created an eye-catching sand visual illustrating the National Day of the UAE. The sculpture will be on display until 5 December. Additionally, shoppers can also learn about the proud milestones of the UAE with an interactive wall timeline, highlighting the nation’s achievements over the past 49 years.
Meanwhile, Yas Marina Circuit picks up the pace with discounts on karting, starting at AED 49 per session for kids, AED 69 per session for juniors, and AED 105 per session for adults. Drivers fashioning the red, green, black, and white of the UAE flag can enjoy two sessions for the price of one.
A number of other attractions were lit up in the colors of the UAE, including the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island with its grand roof being elegantly illuminated to display the UAE Flag.
