A Night at the Cyclades: New Year’s Eve

AIZA is adding a touch of spectacular to its launch with an unmissable New Year’s Eve celebration – A Night at the Cyclades – on Thursday, the 31st of December, from 8.30pm onwards. Guests will be treated to a special NYE Menu for AED 550 per person, along with amazing views of the fountain shows and The Palm Jumeirah’s iconic firework displays, and a live set from world-renowned Greek DJ Thodoris Kokkalis. One lucky guest will also have a chance to win a gift voucher for four people for dinner at AIZA in the New Year. To top it off, every guest will be given a plate to smash, as per Greek tradition, and say “Goodbye” to 2020, leaving all troubles behind.

AIZA’s special NYE Menu features an array of hot and cold starters, including Seabream Marinated with Citrus Dressing, Chicken Souvlaki with Spicy Tzatziki, and many more. These will be followed by main courses of Greek Style Lobster Pasta, Rib Eye Steak with Fresh Herbs & Greek Olive Oil, Lamb Shank Ladorigani, and a wide assortment of sides. Desserts such as Loukoumades with a Selection of Sauces, Mini Galaktoboureko, Soulvaki Camelised Ananas with Vanilla Ice-Cream, and Vasilopita (Greek Cake), will provide the perfect satisfaction for any sweet tooth.

A Multi-Sensory Culinary Journey

AIZA’s carefully crafted menu draws inspiration from the Cyclades Islands and features a flavour-filled array of dishes made with speciality ingredients from different islands. Guests can look forward to being taken on a multi-sensory journey that explores the enchanting flavours of Greek-Mediterranean cooking. In doing so, they will embrace the true warmth of Greek hospitality, with each delicious dish served family sharing-style, generously portioned and placed at the centre of the table.

The AIZA team’s philosophy is rooted in the culinary magic, hospitality and warmth of service of the Cyclades Islands, and guests can expect to have their taste buds transported to the islands of Santorini, Mykonos, Naxos, and Paros, to name a few. From Greek cheeses, Kalamata olives, Mediterranean seafood, and the choicest meats, to Souvlaki prepared live at guests’ tables and authentic Greek desserts like Loukouma, Baklava and Orange Pie – AIZA sources the majority of its produce from Greece, along with a carefully chosen variety of the freshest locally sourced ingredients.

A Home Away From Home

Not your typical Greek tavern, AIZA’s exquisite interiors take inspiration from the abundance of Cyclades Islands in the Aegean Sea. At the heart of AIZA’s Greek-Mediterranean dining experience are the roots of the iconic tree chandelier, taking guests back to ancient Greece. Exposed illuminated stone on the bar and inset wall pay homage to the island cliffs, while the flooring serves as a nod to the pebbly roads of the island towns.

Suspended wavy ceiling fabric symbolises the forces of nature, reflecting where the sky and sea collide, and, through the arched window, panoramic projections represent the infinite beauty of the islands. A grove of olive trees and a finishing touch of dried golden palm leaves bless guests with the hands of the gods, while the boho chic terrace is a one-stop playground for avid shisha enthusiasts, combining dining and drinks with music and breath-taking views of the fountains.
