A luxurious beach house is set to open on West Beach – The Palm Jumeirah in the coming weeks. With al fresco season well underway the beach house aptly named Maison de la Plage offers a sophisticated style with delectable day beds, glimmering pool and beach-style restaurant.
Infused with the spirit of the French Riviera, Maison de la Plage is a culinary haven pulsating an upscaled relaxed dining experience with a touch of elegance. The third venture in this chapter for Chef Izu, with La Maison Ani, his flagship restaurant or main house offering timeless sophistication, Le Petit Ani being the second little sister restaurant and the new beach house radiating a playful, relaxed French-Mediterranean menu – imagine leisurely meals with friends, clinking glasses by the sea.
A colour palette that will transport you to the sun-drenched shores of the Côte d’Azur, dotted with yachts, reminiscent of idyllic villages in the South of France. At the heart and soul of the beach house, is the market, harping back to Chef Izu’s serendipitous encounter with his wife in a bustling French market. At the market you can design your meal while the chef brings it to life. A culinary love story, every bite here is a celebration of love, life and the allure of French cuisine, ready for you to write the next chapter. The beach-style restaurant will serve artisanal bread, fruits de mer, fresh produce, paying homage to the Mediterranean sea and its flavours. Signature dishes of La Maison Ani will be served in Maison de la Plage such as Salade Niçoise, Escargot au beurre, anchois et chapelure, snails with butter and anchovies and Linguine au homard, lobster linguine.
Maison de la Plage draws its aesthetic inspiration from Chef Izu’s captivating journey, decorated with souvenirs collected throughout his travels. “One of the things I love most about the sea is that it connects us all, it encourages our playful sides and allows us to unwind.
