British ambassador: The tourists are coming and “Tomas” the camel is acceptable

In a gesture of hospitality and cultural communication, the owner of camels, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Oudah, granted a camel that had not yet completed its first year, to Tomas, the son of the British ambassador to KSA.This comes in support for him after he announced his desire to enter the world of camels.

The gift came on the sidelines of the visit of British ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. “Neil Crompton ” and his family, for the site of the activities of the fifth edition of King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Al Sayahid .

After their tour between the activities of the festival and the Dahna Market, and getting acquainted with the vision of Camel Club to expand the camel sector and its legacy.

The British Ambassador, Mr. Neil Crompton , confirmed that many Britons would like to come here in the winter, when the weather is wonderful, adding: I think they will enjoy a day at the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, and their presence will attract British companies as well.

On his impression of the visit, the ambassador said: We had a good time, I had never been to a camel festival before, and this festival was interesting to see camels, get to know the details of camels well, and so that we can know the Saudi culture and life, praising what he touched from Joy in the faces of the participants, attendance and competitors.
The ambassador expressed his astonishment at seeing the beauty that the participating camels appeared on, and how the competitors had prepared their camels and how proud they were of it.
He pointed out that the last year when a tourist visa was available, the largest number of tourists came from Britain, but this year due to Covid-19, many of them did not come, confirming their presence after the end of the pandemic.


In turn, Tomas announced his acceptance of the gift of the camel owner, “Ibn Oudah,” saying: I came here and I am very excited to immerse myself in the camel culture.
For his part, the owner of the camels, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Oudah, stated that the gift motive stems from the Kingdom’s vision 2030,its wise leadership, and the close cultural relations with the British and Europeans in general.
