Wafa Essahel and Roseline Akinyi Ojiem Are Recognised for their Exemplary Role

Dubai, UAE-C Central Resort The Palm, a beachfront property that offers that home-away-from-home experience, joined the rest of the world in celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women.

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, the 5-star resort recognized the exemplary leadership and performance of Wafa Essahel, Guest Service Supervisor, and Roseline Akinyi Ojiem, Restaurant Manager.

Wafa, a Moroccan national, has exceeded expectations since joining the team. One of her key achievements was spearheading an initiative that resulted in approximately AED160,000 worth of additional revenue for the property via upselling. Her contribution directly impacts around 35% of the overall program.

She worked up the rank from a Guest Service Agent to Front Office Supervisor and is currently a Guest Service Supervisor. During her tenure, she has excelled in all of her work and happily accepted additional responsibilities.

“Women should try to do the impossible, and if they fail, they should treat failure as the way to challenge themselves,” her message to all women in the industry.

Roseline, a Kenyan national, has been an integral part of the resort’s F&B operations. She has championed and led guests’ satisfaction and feedback. As a result, the resort has a current ranking of 110 out of 885 hotels and resorts in the city due to her contribution in welcoming guests in warm hospitality.

Her message: “If you want to be a true professional, do something out of your comfort zone.”

“Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8. It’s a day to honour women’s accomplishments, achievements, and contributions throughout history. At C Central Resort The Palm, we’d like to recognize two of our wonderful women who have contributed tremendously to the success of our property,” said Hussein Gamaleldin, Group Director of Sales and Marketing.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #BreaktheBias, and it’s all about building a gender-equal world. A world that was free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
