Two homegrown brands, CarniStore and Haute Sauce have collaborated to launch a fiery pre-marinated meat selection. The butchery and smokehouse, and the artisanal hot sauce brand will present a range of hormone-free meats, sourced from the best farms around the world, all of which will be marinated in the deliciously spicy and flavourful Haute Sauce.
Customers can choose between smoked chicken wings, chicken thigh skewers, beef skewers and lamb chops, which can be marinated in one of the three Haute Sauces – Haunting (Ghost Peppers), Original (Habanero and Coriander) and Mellowing (Bird’s Eye Chillies). The spiciest sauce , Hauntin g, is made from one of the spiciest chillies in the world – the Ghost Pepper and has a smokey flavour contrasted with sweet undertones of chargrilled onions and roasted tomatoes . N ext is Original, made from Habanero peppers and coriande r, and is guarante ed to fire up any dish instantly . Mellowing is the mildest of the three and brings to life the gentler heat of Thai red chilli along with bold flavours , to produce a sauce that is striking, vivid, and delivers just the right kind of punch.
The limited-edition collaboration allows meat and spice lovers to get their fix of good quality meat pre-marinated and seasoned to perfection. Ambika Rajgopal, founder of Haute Sauce says, “although our Haute Sauces are vegan, they are very versatile and pair unbelievably well with meat so, who better to work with than CarniStore. Their high-quality cuts are fresh and antibiotic-free – so this association felt like a natural next step for both of us”. Dan Wanies, co-founder of CarniStore explains the process, “we marinate the meat overnight to let the flavours and seasoning of the sauce seep into the meat. This allows the meat to be perfectly flavoured and seasoned from inside.”
