On the occasion of International Women’s Day, let’s meet Bayan Hassan who is a part of the Hilton Madina family. Bayan is an ambitious women with multiple qualifications including special education, business administration, diploma in cosmetology and skincare, she recently completed the Women in Leadership Virtual Mentoring Program by Hilton Group. So let’s hear her regarding her experience working in the hospitality industry and her perspective that she wants to share with the young women looking for an opportunity to be a part of the industry..
1 How does it feel to be a part of this virtual mentoring program?
In these unprecedented time virtual seems like normal. I surely feel proud to be part of this progression and mentoring program. I had a lot of mentored , guidance with my supportive mentor & team throughout these development journey. We all need that mentor in our life at some point to push us and get the best out of us.
2 What inspired you to get into hospitality?
Hospitality is making strangers friends and friends as family. Being from a country hosting millions every year for many like me hospitality is a way of life. Inspiration towards hospitality comes from within. Serve with smile passion with compassion.
3 Do you want to give any advice or share experience or expertise for women who wish to take up a job in the hotel industry
Women are strong passionate and accommodating that’s how we are this hospitality for us is natural exceeding expectations and delivering with a smile is what we always do. Multitasking and prioritising has been with us for a long time. My advice is to get up dress up and show up and most important never give up.
4 What tips would you have for other women in the hospitality business?

The hotel industry being a purely service-oriented industry is now shifting focus on providing opportunities to women, what do u have to say about it.
Men and women need to work together as a balance and hospitality is creating space for women is a commendable task as women can compliment some task naturally and creating equally opportunities is the way forward which is in line with the vision of Saudi Arabia and the vision on Hilton.
