Couqley French Bistro & Bar Celebrates Mother’s Day Weekend

For the weekend leading up to Mother’s Day (19th to the 21st of March) customers can take their mum’s out to enjoy the Spring Menu between 12:00pm and 8:00pm. It’s time to take mum out for fresh and colourful dishes along with a two course meal for AED 149 and a glass of grape on the house to all ladies. Welcome the change of season with the light taste of grilled Calamari, homemade ravioli, and the well-loved pain perdu with a touch of berry compote. The unmissable Spring menu focuses on the rejuvenating and refreshing tastes of the season.

The Spring Menu includes but is not limited to:

STARTERS

HEIRLOOM TOMATO CARPACCIO  – served with Stracciatella & pickled beetroot

ESCARGOTS DE BOURGOGNE – 6 snails from Bourgogne, France, shell-baked in garlic-shallot herb butter. Add AED 48 for 12 (A)

CALAMARS GRILLÉS – local fisherman’s daily catch, marinated & grilled to perfection, served with a salade de mesclun & dressed in a light lemon-oil vinaigrette

GRILLED PORTOBELLO – fresh portobello mushrooms baked in a light cream with parmesan (V)

CRAB CAKES – local fisherman’s daily catch, two fresh crab meat patties, breaded, lightly sautéed & a side of salade de mesclun

PLAT PRINCIPAL

COUQLEY’S STEAK FRITES – the house favorite, a tender 180g beef filet, served in Couqley’s signature sauce with frites. Add AED 38 for 280g

WHITE ASPARAGUS RISOTTO – creamy white asparagus risotto with a touch of parmesan cheese (V)

RACLETTE BURGER – Angus patty on a brioche bun with caramelized onion, portobello mushroom and oozing raclette cheese & grain mustard mayonnaise served with skinny fries

RIGATONI ARRABIATA – rigatoni pasta in our homemade plum-tomato sauce with fresh basil & parmesan cheese. Add AED 19 for Stracciatella di burrata & eggplant (N) (V)

PAN-SEARED SEA BREAM – lightly pan-seared wild Daurade with crisp julienne vegetables in a signature shrimp bisque sauce, served with wild rice

STEAK TARTARE – (raw) top quality beef, minced, Chef Alexis’ signature seasoning, with frites (180g)

The Spring Specials Menu allows customers to order a two or three course meal, including the choice of a starter and main or a starter, main, and dessert, with the additional option of adding a glass or bottle of grape.
