Eataly at The Beach to Launch Its Renowned ‘La Scuola’ Masterclass Programme to Help Educate Visitors and Residents on Italian Cuisine and Culture

From July 18, guests of all ages can enroll in regular two-hour masterclass sessions at JBR’s Eataly at The Beach to learn from specialist chefs, grape experts and mixologists

Dubai-: Eataly At The Beach has announced the launch of its La Scuola masterclasses at the Italian food market and restaurant concept’s at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). Starting July 18, in-house chefs at Eataly at The Beach will offer a regular series of cooking sessions for the city’s amateur food entusiastas, educating them about Italian culture and cuisine.

Eatalyprides itself not only on offering fresh and delicious Italian cuisine, but also through its La Scuola masterclasses a true culinary education. Featuring a mix of cooking shows and grape tasting sessions, the Eataly at The Beach classes will be held in a lavish seafront setting at JBR and cater to both adults and kids. Combining lessons in the history of Italian food and culture with the chance for attendees to prepare their own dishes, La Scuola is a concept that has proved highly popular across Eataly’s other international markets.

Promising eight sessions every month, the masterclasses will run all year at Eataly at The Beach and will be led by head chef Antonio Lacovelli, as well as Sebastian Dinescu, the restaurant manager, Riccardo Biscaro, the beverage manager, and Gabriele Rozzi, the retail manager.

Cooking Classes

Interactive cooking masterclass conducted by Eataly’s skilled chefs will cover everything from pasta to pizza and is designed to take guests’ cooking up a notch. The attendees can learn how to make authentic Italian recipes and experience a true Italian journey. The first lesson will run from 10am until midday on July 19 and focus on how to create Torta Caprese, a dessert from Campania. The second class on July 26 will explore Bruschetta, the famous roasted heirloom cherry tomato dish. Aspiring chefs of all ages can enroll in the two-hour sessions for Dh299.

Grape Classes

As well as culinary lessons, “students” of La Suola can also learn about the process behind great grape. Scheduled to begin on July 18 with a two-hour workshop from 6pm, participants will learn about a range of Italian strains, with each class focusing on a different region. The first workshop will discuss Piemonte, while the second on July 25 will study Veneto. Priced at Dh325 to attend, these classes are open solely to adults.

Cocktail Classes

The skilled mixologists at Eataly will also be teaching the tricks behind some of Italy’s most popular cocktails. During the first session on July 21, participants will learn tales and taste test Spritz cocktails, while the second workshop on July 28 will see the in-house experts explore the famous Negroni. The cost of the cocktail class is Dh275 per head and is open to adults only.

Kids Classes

Children of course should not be excluded from the fun, however, and Eataly at The Beach presents the chance for younger guests to enjoy themselves while cooking and embracing Italian cuisine and culture. On July 24 from 10am, La Scuola will have an hour-long session specific for children where they can learn how to make pizza with ham and mushrooms. A week later on July 31, tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and cream is the focus.
