Wellness brand Sensei, which was co-founded by Larry Ellison, technology pioneer and co-founder of Oracle, and Dr. David Agus, world-leading physician and scientist with a mission to help people live longer, healthier lives through evidence-based practices, welcomes three new female executives to the team. Just in time for International Womens Day on March 8, please find information on these talented women and their role at Sensei below. In addition to its corporate executive team, the on-site Sensei Management Team at Sensei Lānai – A Four Seasons Resort are all female, providing a necessary and well-rounded feed-back loop to the Company and all of their guests.
Alexandra Walterspiel, Chief Operating Officer
Alexandra Walterspiel has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her new role, Walterspiel will oversee the operations and wellness program development of Senseis wellness facilities, including its hotels, hospitality and future membership clubs and workforce centers, as well as create, refine and maintain operating details and systems, and cultivate management talent at Sensei. Walterspiel has tremendous experience in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality segments, having previously worked with Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Ian Schragers Morgans Hotel Group. She also oversaw management of luxury flags and independent hotels through Sage Hospitality and her own management company, IMPRINT Hospitality.
Jacqueline Pucci, Head of People Operations
Sensei also welcomes Jacqueline Pucci as its corporate Head of People Operations. In this role, Pucci will build the brands portfolio through people leadership, employer branding, opening critical path support and talent acquisition of top technology, wellness and hospitality professionals. Pucci has an accomplished human resources background with decades of experience in the luxury hospitality field, including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Rosewood Hotel Group. She has also led human resources and leadership teams for a Forbes 5-star luxury hotel, an exclusive private club in the Caribbean, the top U.S. wine distributor and a new wellness brand through her own consultancy endeavors.
Lara Weiss, Director of Sales Revenue Management
Lara Weiss was recently appointed Director of Sales Revenue Management at Sensei where she will lead the team in meeting sales objectives and goals. Weiss comes to Sensei with a strong background in hospitality having worked at a variety of West Coast companies and properties including The Beverly Hilton, The Hollywood Roosevelt, Thompson Hotels, Kor Hotel Group and more. Weiss also provided marketing and revenue management services for two wellness brands, Civana and Two Bunch Palms, and founded of her own company, AUTONOMOUS Hospitality and Hotel Collection, which offers sales, MICE representation, marketing management and more to independent hotels.
Bere Olmedo, Director of Sensei Lanai Retreat
Bere Olmedo was named Director of Sensei Lanai Retreat in August 2020 and currently oversees day-to-day operations for Senseis unmatched wellness programming and execution of the luxury guest experience. She also is responsible for growing the talented on-site team. Olmedo joined the Sensei team in August 2017 as Hospitality Manager and was promoted to Director of Hospitality in October 2019. Prior to joining the Sensei team, Olmedo worked with AMAN for over seven years in locations around the world, including Cambodia, Japan, Laos and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, she was born in Mexico and trained in hospitality at Glion Institute in Switzerland giving her an international eye for hospitality that is guest-centric.
