One of the Saudi capital’s most important hotels has been given a makeover that’s already turning plenty of heads. Occupying the 30th to 48th floors of the Kingdom Centre, the landmark Four Seasons property has long been known for its impressive views, but now its chic interiors provide another major draw for guests.
Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh freshens up
Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre has revealed the first phase of its renovation programme – newly revamped rooms and suites.
Guenter Gebhard, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, said: “The redesigned spaces embrace the heritage of the city and, at the same time, reflect contemporary aesthetics and the design-savvy sensibility of the modern traveller who expects a sensory experience and a place of comfort within the hotel. Our new look, combined with our team’s warm hospitality and Lead With Care health and safety programme, offers an authentic and safe luxury experience for guests unlike any other in the city.”
A work of art in every sense
The driving concept behind the renovation of the hotel’s guest rooms was the marriage of contemporary style with the traditions and heritage of Saudi Arabia.
HBA has created an environment steeped in Saudi culture, enabling guests to fully connect with the destination. The design is influenced by the English translation of the word ‘riyadh’, which means garden, and the distinct colour palettes of the greens seen in the carpets and wall coverings contrast with the browns of the wood panels and in the windows and closets.
The hotel also boasts a carefully curated selection of artworks chosen by a committee that worked in tandem with the Alwaleed Philanthropies organisation, which bears the distinction of having HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal as its chair. These artworks, which can be seen throughout the accommodations, reflect the quality of local craftmanship and artistry.
Each room and suite also incorporates cutting-edge technology such as automated curtains and lighting systems, iPads, smart TVs, Bose Bluetooth speakers and smart makeup mirrors, making the renovation a true blend of modernity and tradition.
