Little guests will enjoy a selection of dog-themed Festive Afternoon Tea pastries inspired by the Park Lane pup
DUBAI, UAE – This Festive season, vacation in the award-winning Park Room at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and indulge in a quintessentially British afternoon tea created exclusively for little guests in homage to Grover the British Bulldog, the hotel’s mascot and longest standing resident.
Middle Eastern travellers can try different afternoon teas whilst celebrating the festive season in London. Inspired by Grover’s fiercely loyal nature, dedication to luxury guest service, and role as custodian of the archives (legend has it he wrote several of the hotel’s historical chapters), Head Pastry Chef Anthony Hurst and his dedicated pastry team have brought the much-loved bulldog to life through a selection of pastries incorporating Grover’s loveable disposition.
Upon arrival, little diners will receive a letter from Grover himself, sealed with a paw print. This will be followed by an array of sandwiches consisting of ham, jam, cucumber and cream cheese, as well as miniature scones accompanied with vanilla ice cream topped with raspberry coulis. Also on the menu are Grover’s sweet treats including Mr. Grover, Valrhona Milk Chocolate Mousse Cake, Hound Hotel, Ginger Cake with a Chocolate Crunch and Caramel Mousse, Bone Appetit, Strawberry and Cream Shortbread Sandwich, Sweet Dreams, Double Chocolate Brownie.
To accompany the menu, children will enjoy a cup of warming hot chocolate adorned with Grover’s face, while parents looking to get jolly this season can indulge in a glass of crisp bubbles from the signature Bubbles trolley. To ensure the festivities continue at home, a Grover-themed puzzle will also be available to take home as an early gift from Father Christmas.
For those wishing to meet the pooch in person or for a photo, Grover can be spotted wearing a green dinner jacket and monocle, quietly snoozing in his home, the Park Room.
Ensuring parents also feel indulged, the Park Room offers Traditional Festive Afternoon Tea boasting a selection of delicate savouries, freshly baked scones, and quintessentially festive themed Pastries, including The Snowman, a soft carrot cake with vanilla cheesecake mousse, Christmas Wreath, a spiced shortbread, and a traditional Yule Log consisting of chocolate sponge and white chocolate ganache.
Grover’s Festive Afternoon Tea and Traditional Festive Afternoon Tea will be served in the Park Room at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London from November 21st, 2022 until January 3rd, 2023 and available daily from 12.30 PM to 6.00 PM.
Grover’s Festive Afternoon Tea is priced from AED 155.4 per child (up to 12 years old) and the Traditional Festive Afternoon Tea is priced from AED 277.5 per person or AED 322 with a glass of Lanson Le Black Réserve Bubbles or glass of non-alcoholic sparkling Rosé.
