Hosted Buyer Program to Launch at Africa Food Show

The first ever B2B platform being signed off in Kenya will facilitate business opportunities and cater to the need of food operators and trading companies from the region

Dubai – MIE Events, the Dubai based exhibitions specialist and proud organizer of the Africa Food Show 2020 (AFS 2020), a premier event for global food trade taking place from 24th to 26th June 2020 at the Kenyatta International Convention Center in Nairobi (Kenya), has officially announced the launch of its Hosted Buyer Program, the first ever to be held at such a scale in Kenya on the occasion of the Gulfood exhibition this week.

Being the first industry incubator to kick off in Kenya, the Hosted Buyer Program aims at facilitating business undertakings amongst industry professionals while guaranteeing the presence of top-tier players and decision-makers in the African diversified food sector, who play a significant role in influencing purchasing decisions over food. The Hosted Buyer Program is set to maximize ROI for participants, through the expansion of their business networks and agreements sign offs during AFS 2020.

David Wang, Founder and Chairman at MIE Events said: “As a premium industry event in a rapidly growing economy like Kenya, Africa Food Show is aiming (through its Hosted Buyer Program) to fulfill the market needs by bringing something fresh and modern not only at a local level, but also on a regional scale.”

Fadi Kaddoura, VP Sales & Marketing at MIE Events explained: “The Hosted Buyer Program, accommodating hundreds of carefully selected decision makers with real buying power, is just one of the initiatives we have put in place to ensure that Africa Food Show attracts national as well as international audiences. Our focus is on providing our exhibitors access to a premium buyer audience as we are encompassing an extensive variety of buyers ranging from large international organizations to smaller independent food operators, who are shortlisted and selected by an ad-hoc appointed HBP Committee.”

The inaugural event, which will host more than 300 exhibitors representing 15+ countries, is expected to welcome a visiting contingent of more than 7,500 industry professionals from food distribution and trading companies to catering giants and supermarket chains, HORECA entities, F&B retailers and Government bodies.
