Krasota Dubai restaurant, revolutionising the hospitality industry

Optimising AI computer technology to trace deep-laced, intricate patterns that project remarkable artwork, to create a one-of-a-kind gastronomic experience in the heart of Dubai

Dubai, UAE, September 2023 The latest dining concept from the White Rabbit Family alliance and their first venue in Dubai, Krasota Dubai in the Address Downtown Hotel is reimagining the thriving epicurean scene in the Middle East. The forward-thinking immersive concept combines haute cuisine with latest multimedia technologies and artificial intelligence-powered visual fine arts. The trailblazing eight-course degustation menu is designed by the award-winning Chef Vladimir Mukhin. While projections set the stage for the ‘Imaginary Art’ show, illuminating the room as guests delight in interactive, world-renowned paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. The audiovisual multimedia content complements each course of the performance, enhancing the overall experience.

Guests are invited to enter the gastro-theatre that accommodates only 20 diners per show in a panoramic 360-degree rotunda room. The cylinder arena and circular table posed a significant technical challenge, as they seamlessly merge and coordinate the images of 20 projectors on the curved walls and tables without creating shadows, as though you’re looking through a window. In a standard rectangular room, you can’t achieve this feeling as the image gets “cut off” at the corners, losing the sense of presence within the room, and the projector’s light reflects off every wall, making the colours less vibrant. The round room is designed in a way that ensures the colours and light accurately reach the walls without any unwanted reflections.

Additionally, an individual high-precision projector is provided for each guest, resulting in a high pixel-density display on the table in front of the visitor. Machine vision cameras provide the opportunity for real-time content interaction, blurring the line between reality and fantasy, and bringing out your inner child, allowing you to play with the elements projected on the table. Additionally, the neural network determines the placement of dishes and objects. Particularly impressive during the dessert scene dedicated to Kazimir Malevich’s Black Square, where AI follows the guest’s gestures while they move the dessert on the plate.

Krasota’s visual art is created by Anton Nenashev, who is at the helm of bringing the art to life through interactive installations. Together with the founder Boris Zarkov they aimed to develop the concept to combine great taste, pixel-perfect visuals, and story narration in a mind-blowing tango. “We aimed to go beyond conventional fine-dining format, making it as a whole story, bringing visitors right into the heart of each scene and immersing all 5 senses”, explained Anton.

The team is constantly monitoring new technologies to incorporate into the experience to bring fine-dining into the future. Inspired by the latest cutting-edge technology, the upcoming season show ‘Imaginary Future’ has one of the scenes entirely created by neural networks. The upcoming show will be dedicated to exploring possible future scenarios of human life.

Krasota’s immersive gastro theatre sets a new standard for innovation in the industry, transforming an intimate dining venue into endless possibilities. There is still time to see the ‘Imaginary Art’ show before a brand new season starts in autumn –  stay tuned!

Enjoy the spectacular showing, featuring the whole dining package including a set of welcome appetisers, eight courses and eight visual acts, with two signature cocktails served in the intervals. The duration of the show is approximately 2.5 hours.
