The French Chef will be joining the award-winning restaurant for an exclusive event, as part of the inaugural edition of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants
Award-winning Abu Dhabi favourite LPM Restaurant & Bar will be hosting 3-star Michelin Chef, Julien Royer, for an exclusive celebration in collaboration with 50 Best, as part of the first edition of Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants event programme. Taking place on Sunday, 6th February 2022, the star-studded evening will see two masterminds join forces as a one-of-a-kind menu, curated by Julien Royer, is served in the electric atmosphere of LPM’s venue.
Finding inspiration from one of his most successful ventures Odette , twice named No.1 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, the evening will serve up some of his classic and signature dishes. Aligned with LPM’s famous sharing concept, Chef Julien will also be showcasing signature sharing dishes from his latest concept Claudine .
Speaking on the event, Chef Julien expressed: “It’s great to see this part of the world receive more recognition, and for 50 Best to expand into the Middle East and North Africa, shining a brighter spotlight on the richness of the region. I still recall when 50 Best first extended into Asia back in 2013 and I received the ‘One to Watch’ award. T o witness the evolution of this prestigious list over the years , as it shapes our gastronomic community around the world , has been truly exciting. Having frequently visited LPM Restaurant & Bar during my time in London and Hong Kong, we happily accepted an invitation from 50 Best to cook with LPM Abu Dhabi. As we are working with a much larger venue and a different style of service, we thought it would be opportune to present a curation of timeless Odette classics alongside a selection of sharing-style signatures from Claudine – a neighbourhood French restaurant and our latest concept in Singapore – to share a preview of these experiences with our guests and continue to bring a refreshing perspective on French dining for the present day. ”
To begin the evening, guests can expect delicate snack appetizers such as Botan Ebi Taco and coriander, Hokkaido Uni and brown butter and Tartelette Crudites Bagna Cauda. Next, a handful of dishes that reflects Chef Julien’s French background yet Asian environs can be enjoyed such as Normandy Bron Crab (with apple, nashi and ginger), Black Truffle Tart (with Cevennes onions, artichoke and hazelnuts) and Kampot Pepper Crusted Pigeon (with beetroot, black garlic and confit leg) . Ending the evening, attendees of the event are encouraged to share and indulge in Aloe Vera (with verjus, grape and Oolong tea) and ‘Pariteroles’ (with Tahiti vanilla, Gunaja chocolate and pecan praline).
The spectacular evening will be priced at AED 595, plus beverage pairing for an additional AED 250. Tables can be booked in LPM Abu Dhabi’s stylish restaurant with its walls adorned with breathtaking works of art. To make the most of the cooler weather, beautiful waterfront terrace tables can also be booked, complete with shimmering views of the capital’s stunning skyline.
