Dubai, UAE, -:Mental wellness startup Mindhouse today announced its latest offering –Sleep Stories, a collection of tales, designed to help make bedtime a more calming and relaxing experience.
Each 30-minute Sleep Story is crafted with a vivid level of descriptive detail, combined with soothing ambient music, and world class voiceovers, to help you drift off to dreamland a little more easily. To bring these stories to life, Mindhouse has partnered with some prominent Bollywood stars, with Rahul Bose, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Amol Parashar all lending their vocal talents to the narrations.
The collection spans a healthy mix of genres, including classic folk tales reimagined, nature visualizations, and a few original fiction stories, giving users a wide and varied set of tales to choose from. Konkona Sen Sharma’s calming rendition of “A Swiss Adventure” will help transport you to the mystical mountains ensconced in the gorgeous Swiss countryside. Or you can choose to fall asleep to the sound of Rahul Bose’s soothing baritone, as you walk among the cool, dark trees, in “A Night in the Forest”. Every story takes you on a new, unique journey, as you are guided by the power of your own imagination.
“Sleep Stories can act as a great, and extremely accessible entry point into meditation,” said co-founder Pooja Khanna. “They can help people get comfortable and more familiar with the technique of Visualization, through the format of a story that’s easy to follow. They can then build on this by attending more structured sessions, as they gradually start putting together a regular meditation routine.”
Mindhouse has been keen to emphasize the importance of good sleep, and the official app already offers a range of guided meditations and other tools to help users fix their sleeping patterns. “As an actor, director and a sportsperson living life at full throttle, I know a good night’s sleep is the indispensable foundation on which everything rests. So it was a pleasure to work on a project that centres around the arts – imagination, creativity, the magic of words – and around the value of sleep,”said Rahul Bose.
“It’s heartening to see an Indian startup shedding so much light on the importance of good sleep,” said Konkana Sen Sharma. “It forms a huge part of a healthy mental state, so it’s good to see that people are being provided with useful tools and resources to help them get the rest they need for a healthy life.”
Mindhouse co-founder Pankaj Chaddah also commented on the launch of the new feature. “We put this project together with a lot of love, and were delighted to have a chance to work with some of our favourite folks in entertainment, who have a natural flair for soothing storytelling,” he said. “A story being read out by a familiar voice can also add an extra layer of ease and comfort, when you’re trying to get to sleep.”
“We are all living hectic and distracted lives these days. Personally, given how hectic some of my filming schedules can be, I understand that the right kind and amount of rest is extremely important, and I make sure I get the sleep I need each night,” said Amol Parashar. “I’m excited about the prospect of helping people do the same through these stories.”
Sleep Stories are available in the official Mindhouse app. New users get free unlimited access to all the app content, for a period of 2 weeks.
