New Retail Horizons for Porto Montenegro 2021 Season

With it’s world-class facilities, waterfront promenades, five-star hotel and international fashion, dining and café scene, Porto Montenegro, the precious luxury superyacht village in the heart of the Tivat Riviera expands its retail collection with more than 10 brand new international arrivals, just in time for the summer 2021 season.

Known for its fine selection of local boutiques, international brands and dedicated designer fashion quarter located on the doorstep to the Venice Square boat pick-up point, shoppers can arrive in style to enjoy waterside retail experience, complemented by numerous cafés and restaurants, inspired by Italian, Mediterranean and Oriental cuisines.

The village promise of a life less ordinary keeps on delivering with exciting new openings this summer, serving to cement the resort’s reputation as a world-leading shopping and leisure destination in the heart of the Adriatic.

Porto Montenegro for the first time welcomes Dior, a House founded in 1946 by Christian Dior, whose visionary spirit never ceased to make women all over the world feel more beautiful. Season after season, this exceptional heritage is reinvented by the modernity and creative passion of his successors. In this ephemeral space with a terrace, located in the heart of the marina, Dior unveils the Dioriviera capsule, a summer wardrobe designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Dior women’s collections. Presenting ready-to-wear, accessories and objects by Dior Maison, this sunny line celebrates the dolce vita.

Five Star Fashion boutique will house Ralph Lauren, La Martina & Gant, while Bagsy promises a multi-brand accessory store. Kosmos Knjige  bookstore will welcome international book signings and other gatherings for book lovers. What’s more, the village introduces a gourmet super Voli – Montenegro’s beloved supermarket with a touch of added luxe to meet the needs of a growing Portonian community.

Setting the 2020 trend for the new village arrivals was local family-run business, Ma Cherie, a little watertont café and village go-to for mouthwatering brunches and delicious desserts. The same family sees in 2021 with the opening of their second venue, Navale, located on Porto’s prestigious promenade after which the venue is named.

A new eco-conscious, healthy-food concept store, Portokali, meets the demands of the gluten-free, buckwheat-loving and raw-food crowd, with an on-site bakery, dairy corner and green market, as well as serving traditional hot and cold cuisines, salads and even an in-store winery. What’s more, Stories is a new concept store, supporting homegrown and handmade Montenegrin products all under one roof – from art, jewellery and homeware, to skincare, handcrafted toys and accessories. Stories serves as a space for the community, offering weekly workshops for socialising and learning new skills. The store is founded by South African, Janine Plum, who spotted a gap in the market for sharing appreciation of local handcrafts and produce.

For gastronomers, Forza Porto brings authentic Boka delicacies with a modern and sophisticated twist, whilst its sisters Marea on the village Town Quay and Panorama at the PMYC Pool, combine traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a blend of northern-inspired culinary specialties, meat dishes and specially curated wines.

Meanwhile, Montenegro Charter Limited and Vitreum Montenegro join the extensive list of retail businesses in Porto Montenegro, occupying offices in newly developed dedicated business clubs. The Open Studio / Art In The Port exhibition gallery offers a new cultural hangout for art lovers in the newly populated Elena Residence. Tabacco Shop chain brings a new up-market newsagent to the village, selling everything from tobacco to confectionary, magazines and more, whilst Efel Nautic is the village’s new source of luxury sailboats for charter and rental, as well as offering winter storage and maintenance services across Zodiac, Cantieri Capelli, Ranieri International, Zar Formenti and Bavaria Yachts brands.

“We’re delighted to have attracted such an eclectic mix of local and global brands to our village. We continue to embrace new shopping and dining experiences and are committed to providing only the best for our community”, says Marija Krgovic, Head of Leasing.

As Porto Montenegro continues to grow, with the completed Elena Residences square and soon-anticipated arrival Boka Place in 2023, this sought-after destination on the Montenegrin coast pitches itself as an ideal platform for future retail and dining enterprise, with enhanced international appeal and an unparalleled reputation, making it one of Montenegro’s firm favourites.
