Award-winning craft casual venue introduces new flavour profiles this Holy Month with the new Red Orange Milk cake

LDC’s Head of Culinary, Chef Omar Basiony, decided to be spontaneous this year and introduced different Ramadan flavour profiles. Middle Eastern cuisine often citrus fruits for added flavour, which gave Chef Omar the idea to infuse their newest milkcake with a distinct tangy taste from red oranges. He also concocted hibiscus and RoohAfza syrup to create a refreshing drink, the Hibiscus Rose Mojito (Dhs27).
The perfect Ramadan gift, LDC’s newest addition to its range of popular milk cakes, is extra light, moist, fluffy and flavoured with red orange. The whole milk cake then gets a generous dusting of cocoa powder and decorated with slices of fragrant dried oranges. Priced at Dhs270, the exclusive Ramadan sweetmeat is served with red orange crème Anglaise and comes in its own beautiful acrylic dish with cover.
