Having been one of the most popular F&B features of Expo 2020 Dubai, the iconic burger joint is set to bring their widely popular menu – inspired by both travel and nostalgia – to Rove Hotels
Starting at Rove Expo 2020, the limited time pop-up with be running for 6 weeks before making additional exclusive appearances across several Rove properties in Dubai throughout the coming months.
Dubai, UAE -: ADRIFT Burger Bar, launched initially in Venice Beach, California in 2020, and at the iconic Expo 2020 Dubai a year later by Michelin star-rated chef David Myers’ (@GypsyChef), is coming to Rove Expo 2020 Hotel for an exclusive pop-up. With an effortlessly laid back vibe reminiscent of Venice Beach fused with the minimalist style of Tokyo, ADRIFT Burger Bar serves David’s signature burgers and classics with all the fixings alongside shakes and crispy sides.
The famous burger joint gained a loyal following of fans during its residency at Expo 2020 Dubai where Chef Myers’ team served up a whopping 115,000 burgers over a five-and-a-half-month period. The ADRIFT Burger Bar concept is originally based on a burger recipe from Myers’ own childhood, which he featured at his LA bistro a decade ago, to the delight of both guests and nationwide media. Myers’ went on to feature a burger on his menus in Tokyo, Singapore and Dubai before launching ADRIFT Burger Bar in his hometown neighborhood of Venice Beach, California at the height of the global pandemic in 2020. The concept embraces David’s Californian roots with hints of his global sojourns etched across the menu – featuring a selection of signature burgers, crispy sides, and house-made shakes. Rovers will be scrambling to get their hands on them and let their taste buds relive memories of Expo 2020.
David Myers said: “ADRIFT Burger Bar is a concept that’s near and dear to my heart so I’m excited to return to Expo City, this time for our pop-up collaboration with Rove Hotels. I had an amazing time experiencing Expo 2020 Dubai during ADRIFT Burger Bar’s residency in the Mobility District, and I feel just as nostalgic about our Rove pop-up as I hope our Dubai fans do. Although Expo 2020 attracted people from all across the globe, – amazingly – more than 9 in 10 of our guests were in fact UAE residents, so I hope to see a lot of familiar faces at our Rove Expo 2020 pop-up.”
