Users can now apply AR Lenses from Snapchat through the native camera app
Middle East – : For all the photography lovers out there who like taking one-of-a-kind shots, Samsung has confirmed its first-ever camera partnership with Snap to bring the flair of augmented reality (AR) content to more people directly from its native camera app.
Now available on the latest Galaxy A52 and A72 smartphones, an interactive new feature called Fun Mode enables users to set up their own photo filters with the My Filter feature, customize their own AR Emoji, and apply AR Lenses from Snapchat to their photos and videos, all right from the phone’s camera. That means users will no longer need to constantly switch between different apps to create fun images, as the A-series smartphones’ Fun Mode has all the features one needs.
The Fun Mode capabilities are baked in from the start on all selected Galaxy A series models and run seamlessly with the stock Android 11 operating system. Fun Mode features a total of 16 camera effects, out of which seven are basic lenses while nine popular lenses are from Snapchat that are updated regularly. More Lenses are always accessible directly from the Snapchat app available for any Android device.
Omar Saheb, Samsung Electronic’s Head of Marketing for the Middle East and North Africa, said: “This is our first-ever camera partnership with Snap, and we are delighted to bring our users advanced features available directly in the native camera app. The new exclusive Fun Mode provides our youth a unique experience to express themselves & create awesome content that is seamless, fast, and fun.”
Rasha El Ghoussaini, Group Vertical Lead, Snap Inc. in the Middle East, added: “We believe that reinventing the camera represents our greatest opportunity to improve the way people communicate through visual self-expression and storytelling. The camera already plays a significant role in enabling friends to feel like they’re all together — whether they’re near or oceans away. Through this partnership with Samsung, we are making it even easier for people to stay connected by sharing customized, entertaining photos and videos that show how they’re feeling.”
