Shaza Riyadh raises awareness of breast cancer early detection in the capital

Several outlets of the hotel are participating in the Pink October campaign

Shaza Riyadh, the contemporary luxury 5-star hotel residence in the heart of the Saudi capital is raising the awareness of the importance of breast cancer early detection during the month of October.

October (also dubbed as Pink October) is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is an annual international health campaign organised by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

Amjad Irshaidat, Country General Manager, Shaza Hotels commented, “Pink October is an important month for all of us. It is vital to raise awareness and challenge the social stigmas of breast cancer. It is a disease like any other, and like many other diseases it is curable if early detected. That is where our role comes as part of our social responsibility and commitment.”

Shaza Riyadh is dedicating a corner with awareness flyers for a full week in the lobby, and on Ladies Night buffet on Wednesday, the hotel is decorating the dinner buffet with breast cancer awareness month theme while inviting a number of bloggers & Social Media influencers to participate the occasion.

Similar awareness corners are also held at Mena & MIDAN restaurants of the hotel.

“It is our responsibility to our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters. Raising awareness can save not only the lives of individuals but the livelihood of their families and our communities as well and we are proud to be part of this movement,” Irshaidat added.
