Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, today announced that the company joined the Made in Saudi initiative by registering its manufacturing units under the program, including assembly lines located in the Kingdom. With innovation being at the forefront of its operations globally, Signify provides a full range of tailor-made, high-quality, and energy-efficient lighting solutions across the Middle East. The Made in Saudi program is a part of the Kingdom’s National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) initiatives launched to support and achieve the goals set under Vision 2030.
Starting its operations as a specialized local manufacturer in 1979, a key component of the company’s remit is to continue working closely with Saudi government bodies to manufacture high-quality energy-efficient lighting products complying with the latest international and local standards suitable for all public and professional spaces. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the company continues to embrace and advance diversity and inclusion practices across its offices as a part of its global strategy. To continue the momentum in the Kingdom, Signify had set up a factory in 2002 that is fully operated and managed by Saudi women. The factory has been noted as one of the best places to work for women in the country and Signify has been commended on multiple occasions as a leader in hiring and promoting women in Saudi Arabia.
