KSA –: After a short break for the summer, Under Armour will kick start its hugely popular Run Series, with the first free to attend sessions of the season held on 23rd September in Jeddah and Riyadh to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s 91st National Day.
Under Armour officially launched its Run Series earlier this year with free nationwide community events. Held in key locations, the Run Series aims to build a network of fitness fans of all abilities as well as celebrate the benefits of running and inspire more people to take up the sport.
For KSA National Day, Under Armour will host two runs – one in Riyadh and one in Jeddah –to celebrate the country’s achievements over the past 91 years. The events will help to inspire runners to put their best foot forward to honour the KSA while also supporting the national goal of encouraging more people to lead a healthy and more active lifestyle.
The Riyadh Run Series event will take place at 5:15am on 23rd September at Wadi Hanifah, with athletes running 9.1km through area’s scenic trails. The event is suitable for all ages and abilities with a range of pace groups on hand to offer support and encouragement to all participants. No registration is required with athletes invited to turn up and join in. Runners can log their route and performance using the MapMyRun app.
The Jeddah Run Series event will be held in the hills near Usfan Road from 6am on 23rd September. Also open to athletes of all abilities, participants are not required to cover a specific distance and are instead invited to run, jog or walk as far as they can up and down the hills for a duration of 91 minutes, 91 seconds, a symbolic time in celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 91st National Day.
As spaces are limited, anyone looking to take part in the Jeddah Run Series event must register in advance for free on https://hejazultra.org/event/91snd/
As a global leader in athletic performance apparel, footwear and accessories, Under Armour’s Run Series is actively creating a community of athletes like no other and helping to grow participation in the sport across Saudi Arabia.
