Abu Dhabi, UAE –: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, turned its iconic landmarks green and lit up the skies with a stellar pyrotechnics show in celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 90th National Day.
Visitors to Yas Island saw Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s façade and signature roller coaster Flying Aces, Yas Waterworld’s Bandit Bomber roller coaster and the famous pearl crag, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi’s water tower, as well as CLYMB™ Abu Dhabi’s façade don the emerald shades of the Saudi Arabian flag, in a show of support on this momentous occasion. W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island also lit up green as the destination celebrated the Kingdom’s monumental achievement.
As part of Yas Island’s efforts to continually connect with guests in the UAE and all over the region, the fireworks display was livestreamed on the island’s social media accounts.
Safety precautions and social distancing measures were also ensured, by enabling a select number of visitors to catch the show from pre-booked restaurant reservations at Yas Marina.
UAE residents enjoyed exclusive offers such as “Wear Green and Go Free”, where guests wearing green enjoyed a free Karting experience at Yas Marina Circuit’s Kart Zone. The world-class circuit also launched ‘Polaris Drift’ for Saudi National Day, granting guests in groups of six to enjoy an exciting and green-themed driving experience.
Guests celebrating were able to explore Yas Island’s award-winning theme parks and attractions including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, CLYMB™ Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Links, and Yas Mall.
